The Story Behind the 'Sign'

Local elections are non-partisan in the State of California and as such offers an opportunity for each participant to make their own personal mark. We were asked about our campaign sign and what are the images? The tree shown in the lower left is a Modesto Ash tree from Newell's valley town where he grew up. The group of kids on the left are playing soccer - one of Newell's passion was coaching Mustang Soccer for 10 years. The next image is a couple heading off to play sports followed by a couple walking with one of their children. The Arnerich's daughter was enthusiastic about anything related to horses shown in the next image. The final scene is Newell's wife who started off in Danville as a kindergarten teacher at Montair Elementary School in Danville. Together all the images are about what Danville represents to Newell and his family. The colors are Danville green contrasted with brilliant white and absolute black. Yes, it is a campaign sign, but with a personal story.
