Danville Mayor Newell Arnerich along with Congressman George Miller will present the Awards to this year's winners - those who demonstrate outstanding commitment, leadership and contributions to promoting a healthier environment, economy, and society.

David Livingston, CCC Sheriff Endorses Mayor Newell Arnerich

The Hon. David O. Livingston, Contra Costa County's Sheriff, a Danville resident, endorses Mayor Newell Arnerich for re-election to the Danville Town Council. Sheriff Livingston lives in Danville with his wife Agnes, his three sons and step-daughter. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara and later earned his law degree from the USF School of Law. He attended the FBI Academy, graduated from the POST Command College and is an attorney admitted to practice in both the state and federal courts.

Danville Area Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Thursday, October 18 at C2 Education

C2 Education will be hosting a Grand Opening celebration to herald the opening of a new location in Danville, CA on Thursday, October 18. Join us for free food and drinks, the chance to meet with expert academic consultants, the opportunity to win great prizes including 10 free hours of tutoring (a $690 value), and free diagnostic skills assessments (a $95 value). Students who enroll in the first month of the center’s opening will also receive 20% off tuition!
The Grand Opening events will be held from 4 PM until 8 PM. The Danville Chamber of Commerce and Danville’s Mayor, Newell Arnerich, will be on hand for a ribbon cutting at 5:30 PM. We hope to see you there!

Primos Run for Education a success with over 10,000 participants

Primos Run For Education
San Ramon Valley residents came out to support our local schools as nearly 10,000 people register for this annual Education Foundation fund raiser. In the cool morning air thousands of runners, walkers and costumed participants took off for a fun adventure supporting our local schools. Mayor Newell Arnerich helped start the 1/2 marathon runners in Danville. Mayor Bill Clarkson and Mayor Newell Arnerich both welcomed runners to the start of the 5K run in San Ramon. Thank you to all who participated and the the major sponsors including Chevron for contributing to make our schools the best!

Congratulations to Eagle Scout Honorees Brian Smith & Shannon Leonard

At an Eagle Court of Honor held at the Town Meeting Hall, Mayor Arnerich presented proclamations on behalf of the entire Council to honorees Brian Smith and Shannon Leonard at a family sponsored event on Sunday afternoon.With over 100 attendees, Mayor Arnerich spoke of Brian's and Shannon's individual community service projects and their benefits to the community. In addition, each were presented an autographed book, Making a Difference, by home town hero Capt. 'Sully' Sullenberger, as a personal gift from the Mayor. Brian and Shannon are exemplary leaders with demonstrated skills well beyond their years. Congratulations to both on achieving this significant milestone and joining the ranks of a few select leaders.
