The Hon. David O. Livingston, Contra Costa County's Sheriff, a Danville resident, endorses Mayor Newell Arnerich for re-election to the Danville Town Council. Sheriff Livingston lives in Danville with his wife Agnes, his three sons and step-daughter. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara and later earned his law degree from the USF School of Law. He attended the FBI Academy, graduated from the POST Command College and is an attorney admitted to practice in both the state and federal courts.

I am proud to wear the Sheriff’s Office badge,” Sheriff Livingston said. “I also look forward to working with other County departments and leaders as we tackle the many challenges we face. We are all in this together."
Prior to being elected as Sheriff, he served as Concord's Chief of Police and previously as the Chief in Pleasant Hill. Mayor Arnerich is honored to have the Sheriff's support and applauds the great cooperation between Danville's Police Depart and the Sheriff's Department aided by a mutually beneficial contract for police service in Danville.
